As a buyer, you have two options when choosing an agent. You can use a “Buyers Agent” who will be your sales representative throughout the process. The Buyers Agent is fully committed to your needs, versus the seller’s. He or she will protect your best interests and negotiate on your behalf to get you the best possible deal. The second option is to work directly with the Listing Agent. If you decide to work with the Listing Agent, keep in mind that they are representing the seller. The Listing Agent will provide you with honest information, but is not expected to take care of your interests.
